This is the website home of what we hope and pray will continue to be a critical discussion amongst Christians today who desire to see the Church awakened and gripped with a burning passion to spend their lives for the glory of God.

“Let us not stop at any benefit we may have had, and not even with the highest experiences we may have enjoyed. Let us seek to know more and more of the glory of God. That is what leads always to a true experience. We need to know the majesty of God, the sovereignty of God, and to feel a sense of awe and of wonder. Do we know this? That’s a vision that is just flat out too big for any one mission or ministry - so we’re throwing our hat into the ring.  We long to see more people rearrange their entire lives around the God-centered, Christ-exalting Gospel of Jesus Christ.

RockSolid is a 7-day conference.  But it’s more than that.  It’s a vision and a message.  If you’ve been to RS, you know what I mean.  We’re serious!  It’s intense.  And we can’t think of any other way to live our lives.  The Gospel demands it.  The times require it.  Jesus Christ is worthy of it.  And we get one shot.

Let’s stir one another up.  Let’s continue to do what we do during the week of RockSolid.  Dig.  Study.  Read.  Wrestle.  Ask.  Think.  Defend.  Challenge.  Confront.  Engage.  Laugh.  Pray.  Discuss.  Grow.

So here’s how you can help us:

1. Interact with us here on the blog.

Comment.  It doesn’t need to be long and fancy.  Tell us what you think.  We’re going to be posting all kinds of resource links and snippets of things we find on our favorite blogs, as well as stuff we write - all geared to generate good sound thinking, sound living, and sound relationships.

2. Spread the word about RockSolid.

It would be sad if hundreds of 16-20 year olds didn’t or couldn’t come to RS 09, simply because they didn’t hear about it!  We’re serious about spreading the word, because we’re excited about what God is doing in and through this growing conference.  We trust that lives will be greatly impacted, just like they have in years past.  So share the website.  Spread the word.

3. Come to the Events.

RockSolid 09 is June 14-20, 2009, at George Fox University in Newberg, OR.  You can register now. RS also puts on the 2-day Finding a Mate - Forging a Love Conference - it’s coming up October 17-18, 2008 in Cashmere, WA. We’re also inviting all RS 08 alumni to hang around for a BBQ Reunion afterward - it will be great to connect again!

We are humbled and blessed in profound ways as we consider the absolute sovereignty of God over these efforts.  I’m reminded of several verses of Scripture, from three different Psalms that are appropriate at this time and always:

We pray with Moses in Psalm 90:16-17:

“Let your work be shown to your servants, and your glorious power to their children.  Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands.”

While acknowledging with Solomon in Psalm 127:1a:

“Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.”

And we cry out with the psalmist in Psalm 115:1:

“Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!”
