statement of faith
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God in the original manuscript.
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His sacrificial and atoning death through His shed blood on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and in glory.
We believe the Holy Spirit is the Father’s Agent to bring conviction, regeneration, sanctification and glorification to mankind. The Holy Spirit empowers us to live a Christ-like life.
We believe that for salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. We believe that salvation is offered by God’s grace and received by us through repentance and faith in Christ as Savior and Lord.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those who are saved to the resurrection of life and those who are lost into the resurrection of damnation.
We believe in the importance of marriage, and although the Bible states that divorce is permissible in two unusual circumstances (adultery, as described in Matt. 5:31-32, and abandonment of a Christian by a non-Christian as described in 1 Cor. 7:5), we will do all we can to preserve marriage.
We believe children are a gift and heritage of the Lord. Parents are responsible to God for teaching and training them in a life of service for Him. The home is God’s primary training ground to model and teach biblical values for the next generation.
We believe Jesus prayed for the spiritual unity of all believers in Christ in John 17.
We believe the Bible holds final authority for all principles or ideas we might suggest in building relationships.
