Why Does God Appear so Stuck on Himself?
This is just too good a video to pass up… I had to break my blogging silence (sorry) with this (you’re welcome).
It’s worth all the 270 seconds (4min. 30 sec.).
Thoughts?

I remember when i first heard this and it rubbed me the wrong way. However, now because of this my spiritual walk is so much richer. Having a correct view of God is so crucial! I am still trying to understand Him and all his ways. Its an awesome journey though!

Thanks, Ryan… yeah the God-centeredness of God is definitely something that forces you to stop and think…it can come across foreign because, as said in the video, it seems to rub against what we know of humility.
But what does humility look like for God?!
What helped me was keeping humility and honesty connected, in that, if I am arrogant and seek my own praise, I’m being dishonest because I’m not worthy of praise. And that would be unloving for me to draw attention to myself.
For God to seek His own praise - He’s just being honest! He is Who He is. And that’s for our everlasting joy and benefit! He gets the glory, we get the joy. I’m so glad that God is God-centered and not man-centered…and that this doesn’t undermine His love for me, but upholds it.
No being in the universe keeps the greatest commandment better than God!
